Dreamforce 2022: Modelit’s top takeaways
Just last week, around 40,000 of the world’s best tech innovators gathered in San Francisco for Salesforce’s annual Dreamforce conference. Though this year’s event may have been on the smaller side, it certainly didn’t disappoint in the way of huge announcements and exhilarating demonstrations.
“I have enjoyed increasing my potential customers, and I hope to reach more of them.”
The Modelit team was lucky enough to send four of its members to Dreamforce this year. We took the time to ask our attendees about their most notable moments from the conference.
Here’s what they wanted to highlight…
Salesforce Genie
It goes without saying that the introduction of Salesforce Genie was the biggest news to come out of Dreamforce 2022. But what exactly is Salesforce Genie?
Genie is coined by Salesforce as “the real-time platform for customer magic.” It is the first CRM of its kind, allowing businesses to utilize all of their customer data in real-time scenarios.
In other words, it makes for on-the-spot personalized customer experiences. With data being updated every second of the day, this new CRM eliminates the extra time it often takes for businesses to locate customer information when it comes to customer service calls, fraudulent transactions, customer browsing, and so much more.
Regardless of the industry, Genie is sure to change the game for companies using Salesforce.
Slack Innovations
There were a number of interesting Slack-related announcements to come out of this year’s conference. Most notable for Modelit were the announcements of Canvas, Huddles, and the continuation of CRM Analytics.
With Canvas, Slack users will now be able to access data more rapidly and directly from their Slack channels. This integration sees a linking between productivity platforms and data records. So, it will now be ever so simple to create boards containing important information for channels on Slack, without ever having to leave the app.
While Huddles aren’t exactly new to Slack, they have been given a bit of a facelift. It is now possible to hop onto a quick video call, share a screen, react, communicate through chat, and more. We love to see it!
The continuation of Tableau and CRM Analytics for Slack is not a novelty either, but our team was certainly happy to see it stick around. This instant access to analytics within the Slack app has already proven itself useful for Modelit and our clients, and we look forward to seeing its continued growth.
Whatsapp Integrations
At Dreamforce 2022, Salesforce finally revealed a new partnership with Whatsapp. How exciting! This will make way for unique messaging experiences between Salesforce users and their customers.
The Whatsapp Business Platform, together with Salesforce 360, will offer users the ability to sell directly through the app. They will now be able to answer customer questions, run marketing campaigns, carry out more essential one-to-one conversations.

We hope you’ve enjoyed this quick look inside our team’s experience at Dreamforce 2022!
